FEELS LIKE FOREVER

I have only been waiting for days,
Sincerely it feels like years,
Sitted by the bridge on the cliff over-seeing the sea.

Your waving hallo to me as your ship approaches.

I stare and wave back,
As you drift,
My attention focused on the vessel,
Muscles sorrounding you,
You amongst them as the vulnerable one.

Behind you light that contorts beams of life,
Clouds that obstruct a man's strife,
Enlightened atmosphere that recreates nature into artificial,
Plastic voyage.

The horizon is far behind,
What I don't get is are you going or returning?
For the more you wave the further my bridge shifts back,
Whilst the cliff narrows the distance fromyour ship.

Suddenly days become minutes,
That repeat themselves like the eleventh hour,
Mid night/day just won't strike.

You realise this and your mood changes,
No more smiles no more waving with excitement.
Your ship leaves sail and drifts on the very land my cliff forms.
You come closer,
The winds of time blowing in your favour.

My bridge thinning,
I stand up to watch this magnificent feat,
I open to call but my dropped jaws lack coordination,
No words;just my foul past breath, present stupefied tongue and future valueless teeth.

Sticking out my arm to reach for you as you float towards my bridge,
It seems like forever for our distance just can't close.
Time tricking,
Speed limiting,
Distance prohibiting.

Stretch out, listen to my whispers of now.
Hear me recite these eerie words that make you visualise my topographical illogics.

Yes stare at my feelings...find those dimensions of chronological attention drifts.

Hold my hand before I turn to dust,
For I feel my hour glass feet getting feeble,
Drying and the effect running upwards fast.
The dehydration is upto my neck,
Dry bottles,no water.

I become a desert dunes in form of a statue...
Immediately you touch me.

You took forever to speak,
Yet you had the power to change everything.
I crumble into dust,
Blown into what was...
Will you gather me?
