GREETINGS FROM A STRANGER

It's like one of those senseleess dreams one has, only to wake up and spend the whole day trying to demistify it.
You never realy do.
Similacrly check your mail box, text inbox or letter box,to find a greetings message.

Reading in between the lines,as if prunning a tough weed.
You struggle to understand its meaning.
To whom it was intended,as you, smile and nod then keep it aside for some later review date.

Months later as you retrieve your achives,

You recognise that distinct,handwriting or style of language,it reminds you of her;
That lady you once shared your pinnacle of romance with.
The woman who knew and understood you most when you were still a complicated enthusiastic man.
She who gave you reasons for having several restless nights as distance took its toll.
She who came before your silent wife.

An urge to respond tingles up but you can't,of course not before you cook some crazy cover up for your response delayance.

Then there is the other greetings card, with a signature you vividly connect to.
From way back in primary school.
That scribbled by your best friend as you played letter letter, after that final grammar lesson.
You feel so ashamed now,as you analyse his now so authoritative signature.

Send one back,send it now...
You can't either.
For ten years down, what would you realy say?

Hesitation, this is what got you here in the first place.
By now it's pellucid, time is always in some cosmological race that mankind never understands.

Today,
The past is here with you.
Treasure each,hallo?
Mind every,hi?
Plus return,every native greeting.
Before (s)he sends you a seasonal card or message.
So that the word stranger, erases from your relations of tomorrow.

M.O.O. aka C.E
